Two great companion stories by Raye Wagner – Daughter of Darkness & Son of War!

SON OF WAR

Demigods were meant to be the heroes of Olympus. . .

Xan was trained by his father Ares to be ruthless and lethal. As a kynigόs, he spends his time hunting monsters that prey on naïve mortals and foolish demigods. When the arrogant sons of Apollo tag along on a routine assignment, an easy kill turns deadly.

Forced to recuperate at a conservatory, Xan is surrounded by the abuse and selfishness of the resident demigods. All he wants is to escape.

Xan may be the son of the god of war, but his fighting skills are no match for the destiny the Fates have woven for him.

Son of War is a blend of teen fantasy and Greek mythology set in the modern world. Perfect for readers who love the adventure of Percy Jackson with a dash of romance. This story is a companion to The Sphinx series but can be enjoyed independently of it.

REVIEW

that one was a great page turner. Fast paced action with characters known from Sphinx series.
Apollo sons were the same hateful dudes as I know them.
Xan is a demigod that follows only his own will.
Last chapter – crap I loved it!

And thanks to Raye Wagner once again I’m in the middle od deciding if I’m team Xan or team Athan in the series.

DAUGHTER OF DARKNESS

Who will be her light in the dark?
Dahlia knows her value… it’s less than nothing. As a daughter of the goddess Eris, discord and wanting are her only companions. While she craves love and friendship — or even just a sense of belonging — those are the very things her presence destroys.
Unless . . .
One day, a mysterious stranger rescues her from a fight and offers her the unattainable: a safe haven with other demigods. But Dahlia fears a new residence can only be a temporary reprieve. It can’t end well — not for her or the others.
After all, it’s impossible to change who she is.

Blending Greek mythology and fantasy in the modern world, Daughter of Darkness deals with issues of abandonment, abuse, self-esteem, and finding one’s place in the world. It takes place in the same mythical world as The Sphinx series, but it is a companion story (12,000 words) and can be enjoyed independently.

REVIEW

It’s a shortie about Dahlia. How she get to the conservatory? How her relationship with Xan was established?
Great short read that answered some of my questions from The Spinx Series.
